Effective communication is critical to effective policing!

Come and be part of our communications team keeping our people and communities well informed and connected. 

Working as our Multimedia Communication Assistant you will use your innovation and creativity to produce proactive videos and multimedia content.  Reinforcing the corporate identity and message to increase trust and confidence in the force across a number of communication and engagement channels.

Working within this team means no two days are the same, you will work with some really interesting people all helping to keep the public safe.

As a team we’re responsible for the force’s video content output, ranging from high profile campaign work for external audiences, to vlogs and explainer animation videos used internally.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll support the delivery of the force’s communication and engagement strategy and channels through the production, uploading and publishing of creative visual and audio content
  • You will independently create and produce video projects, including the planning, filming, editing and written content.
  • Be responsible for editing and producing video content including CCTV footage on a reactive basis, to assist with the support of criminal investigations

The must haves

  • You’ll need to have abilities of video editing and film making, developing audio/ visual products within a communications function
  • An understanding and experience of digital media platforms, including the preparation and production of audio and video for publication.
  • Clear writing ability to ensure that video products can be packaged with written content for social media.
  • A full driving licence and ability to travel

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
