Buxton Station

Buxton is home to a busy station in the heart of Derbyshire’s famous Peak District. Various teams are based here including the Contact Management and Resolution Centre (CMARC), Crime Support, Criminal Justice and some members of the North Division of Operation Support.

The station is the biggest in the high peak area of Derbyshire, complete with a parade room, custody suite, enquiry office, two interview rooms and kitchen facilities. And for those looking to maintain their fitness, the station also has a large gym on the ground floor.

Working in Derbyshire

Sharing borders with Manchester, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire and Cheshire, Derbyshire is the most central county in the UK. Containing the Peak District National Park and a part of the National Forest, it is a county of countryside.

There are plenty of opportunities to get out into nature, but there is also the opportunity to live the café lifestyle in our towns or experience the buzz of city life. So you could easily find yourself working in the rural reaches of the Peak District National Park, or in the vibrant life of a multicultural city.
