Derbyshire Police Stations

Across Derbyshire we have 40 police stations manned by over 3,800 police officers, police staff, specials and volunteers. Covering the county from Glossop in the north to Swadlincote in the south, our stations provide support to a mixture of rural and urban communities. Each station will experience their own unique social issues and challenges, which means that they are great places to learn and develop.

While our stations are well equipped with offices, briefing rooms, custody suites and enquiry desks, we do encourage a more agile approach to working. We provide our officers with mobile devices that they can use while they are out and about in the community. Offering on the spot support. This is policing at the sharp end, but in a fun, positive and supportive environment.

Working in Derbyshire

Sharing borders with Manchester, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire and Cheshire, Derbyshire is the most central county in the UK. Containing the Peak District National Park and a part of the National Forest, it is a county of countryside.

There are plenty of opportunities to get out into nature, but there is also the opportunity to live the café lifestyle in our towns or experience the buzz of city life. So you could easily find yourself working in the rural reaches of the Peak District National Park, or in the vibrant life of a multicultural city.
