Join us as our Senior Procurement Officer where you’ll be supporting the Head of Procurement and Contract Management to deliver an efficient and effective procurement and contracting service for the force, ensuring you meet the needs and objectives of the Police and Crime Commissioner and Constabulary.

Working closely with internal departments, you’ll deliver value for money and ensure the continuous improvement of the procurement systems and processes within the department.

What you’ll be doing

  • Help to deliver the procurement strategy for the organisation
  • Effective leadership, managing the team and optimising performance
  • Maintain an awareness of advances in technology to assist in improvements and implementation of working practices

The must haves

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. MCIPS)
  • Experienced in a wide range of procurement functions
  • Ability to think strategically and take a wider view of contract service matters

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
