Can you help our investigations by providing intelligence research?
If so, then we have the role for you!
We have an opportunity for you to join the Crime Support Team as an RTI Real Time Intelligence Officer on a temporary basis. We currently have two fixed term positions, one for 9 months and one for 12 months, based at Force Headquarters, Ripley.
You will be a part of the RTI Team working from the Force Intelligence Management Unit (FIMU) at Force Headquarters. The primary role of RTI is to provide a 24hr intelligence function for the force. The team deals with level 1, 2 and 3 intelligence which is evaluated and assessed and linked into the force Intelligence system.
You will be required to assess and effectively deal with all intelligence related enquiries received in force, which involves researching, developing, sharing and disseminating.
You will be responsible for viewing incoming incidents and carrying out relevant intelligence research; ensuring that notifications of prison recalls, persons unlawfully at large and breach of tag are appropriately allocated within the force. You monitor the ANPR (Automatic Numberplate Recognition) alarms and prioritise them in line with the force threat and risk priorities.
No day will be the same, so you’ll need to have a flexible approach to work, good organisational skills and willingness to respond to the changing needs of the FIMU.
Due to the nature of the role the working hours will be on a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, 12 hour day shifts and 12 hour night shifts.
Derbyshire Constabulary are driven to be the best that we can be and to provide excellent policing service - putting victims at the heart of our work, engaging with our communities and partners. Our people are what makes us a friendly, innovative and high-performing organisation.
We also understand that having a good work life balance is crucial, that’s why we offer key work/life benefits such as a competitive pension, generous annual leave, and both flexi-time and home working where possible.
If this sounds like the role for you, find out more by reading the job description.
