Derbyshire Constabulary has an exciting opportunity for a Prosecutions Manager working within our Criminal Justice Department.

This full-time, permanent position is based at our Headquarters in Ripley, working 37 hours per week, with the benefit of some agile working.

What will the role involve?

Working within the Criminal Justice team enables you to really help vulnerable people and gain a great sense of satisfaction and pride knowing you have made a positive difference in their lives. The Prosecutions Manager will ensure units comply with force and departmental objectives, manage and implement change, taking into account local and national initiatives.

You'll need excellent people skills to build and sustain effective relationships, ensuring managers and teams understand organisational goals, whilst maintaining effective performance and high standards of service to the public. You will have the ability to remove barriers, improve communication and facilitate effective collaboration with other teams and agencies.

You will become a valued point of contact, through managing and developing Supervisors and their teams within the Criminal Justice Unit, to ensure departmental objectives are met. Providing an excellent service and seeking continuous improvement will be high on your list of priorities.

Who are we looking for?

An experienced Manager with a background in managing a combination of teams and joint working with a strong ethos in managing change and implementation.

You'll have extensive experience of strong problem-solving skills and development of effective solutions, whilst being adept at managing competing priorities. Budgeting, resourcing and project planning will be second nature in evaluating performance of individual units.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must to develop working relationships across the teams alongside external agencies and organisations. A passion to maintain effective performance to deliver a high standard of service to the public.

Grade K currently £36,171 to £43,248 per annum. For the right candidate, the starting point would be adjusted in line with your experience.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
