Safeguard health data, lead clinical governance for Occupational Health & Wellbeing

Join our Occupational Health and Wellbeing team as our GDPR Clinician, you’ll provide expert oversight and assurance across all practices.

In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure that sensitive health information for police officers and staff is managed in line with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and confidentiality standards.

Using your clinical expertise with data governance skills, you’ll make decisions on record retention and destruction while supporting operational needs and protecting employee rights.

This is a part time role 15 hours per week on a 12 month fixed term contract

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as the clinical subject matter expert on GDPR and data privacy
  • Provide advice to clinicians, managers and HR on lawful data sharing
  • Ensure all health records, assessments and reports are stored, processed and shared in line with UK GDPR, ICO guidance and NHS/ Police standards.

The must haves

  • Experience of working within Occupational Health & Wellbeing in a similar role
  • Knowledge of GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and all legislation in relation to medical confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain GDPR principles to non-clinical staff
