We are looking for a Facilities Supervisor to lead a team and deliver facilities supervision for building services, logistical planning, relocations and driving duties for the force.
The work you get involved in will be wide ranging. Every day will be different!
Using your experience in facilities, transport and delivery logistics role, you will arrange the team’s courier and facilities tasking requirements focusing on efficiency and route optimisation, as part of a multidrop/collection system to transport goods, exhibits and property. You will need to have exceptional organisational and communications skills and the ability to manage drivers ensuring deliveries are made on schedule.
You’ll join the team on driving duties when needed, so will hold a full, clean UK driving licence wi8th category B and be able to complete manual handling tasks, such as the loading and unloading of items.
When you are not out on the road, you will adopt a hands-on role, completing practical manual labour and technical building facilities tasks across the estate, keeping our sites looking smart and fit for purpose. This will include managing storage, supervising waste regulation compliance and administrative duties.
As an experienced Team Supervisor with a relevant qualification or experience of undertaking risk assessments and managing health and safety, you will ensure that staff and contractors adhere to policies, procedures, statutory regulations and legislation, overseeing performance and maintaining the integrity of operational activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in route planning, scheduling critical timebound deliveries, administration and courier driving experience.
Working hours will be 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, however you may be required to work outside normal working hours or during the weekend on occasion. Additional payments will apply for out of hours work.
