Come and shape the way our communities access our digital services, advice and engagement activities, within our award-winning communications team!
We are looking for a Digital Communications Development Assistant to join us on a full-time permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for you to develop new skills in a professional and encouraging environment or an opportunity for you to use your relevant degree level qualification in your first digital communications roles. We will help you to grow and develop as an individual, with access to a range of training resources and support.
The Digital Communications Team deliver timely and relevant information to varied communities about crimes and incidents that affect them. It’s a hugely rewarding role; you’ll be delivering a wide range of communications on important issues, such as preventative measures to stop people becoming victims, and highlighting positive outcomes to build reassurance and trust in Derbyshire Constabulary.
Supported by the Digital Communications Development Manager, you will deliver the force’s digital communication development activity, optimising our digital internal and external platforms. This will include the production, uploading, and publishing of digital and written content, making sure that content published is relevant, timely, and reflective of the corporate messaging, tone and style.
Every day will be different, as you will support a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, such as the delivery of digital project plans and the development of the force’s digital channels, producing content for the web. You will also conduct research that offers insights into current and future trends around digital communication and be responsible for taking and managing photographs.
If this sounds like the role for you, then apply now and join our multi-faceted and award-winning team; winners of the joint Best Crisis Comms award, with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and Derbyshire County Council, and Best Comms Team at the 2019 UnAwards.
Due to the nature of security checks undertaken, applicants must have 5 years continuous residency in the UK up to the date of the application.
