Do you have experience of analytical, investigative or problem solving work?

Come and be part of the Casualty Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) based at Wyatts Way, Ripley, as an Investigation Officer where you will be working to reduce casualties and keep the roads of Derbyshire safe. We are looking to recruit one part-time Investigation Officer to work 30 hours per week Tuesday-Friday. (Applicants must be able to work between the hours of 07:00-19:00)

What you’ll be doing

  • To manage, investigate and compile files and cases in relation to speed related offences the for the department.
  • Liaising with staff, partner agencies and members of the public often attending court as a witness following investigations.
  • Dealing with all exhibits in relation to their cases (ie collecting and processing CCTV evidence).
  • Interviewing suspects and witnesses, attending custody where necessary.

The must haves

  • Professional Investigation Portfolio (Police) trained and Qualified to a minimum of PiP level 1 within the last 4 years.
  • Hold English and Mathematics GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience of analytical, investigative, or problem-solving work.  This does not need to relate to a criminal investigation.
  • Experience in recording information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.

Salary - £25,626-£31,296 per annum (For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.)
